In other words, where your heart is, that is what you treasure. What do you treasure? Where is your heart at?
I treasure my family, and exercise. and my computer. and my stuff.
Why does God always come second? or last?
Is He coming last in your life like He is in mine?
No. Thats NOT okay.
He comes first. Why is He not always on our minds? Why do we get so preoccupied with the world and what tomorrow brings? He tells us not to worry about that stuff. He's got us. We need to trust Him.
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the gentile seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek FIRST the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. - Matt 6:31-33 (emphasis added)
God comes first. Always. Always.

He's cool like that.
You do realize He SAVED you? right?? He saved you. You! He didn't have to. There was no need. But He did! And we love because He first loved us. If we forget what He did, then we won't be grateful. We will try to find our happiness elsewhere. But it can't be found.
Because He loves us, we need to love others. Love our enemies, He tells us. Pray for those who persecute you. Love your neighbor as yourself.
